The BP Integrated Technologies (BPIT) Inc. extended their hands to the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology through the UPLB CEAT Alumni Association (UPAE- UP Los Baños Chapter) to support students on the conduct of their thesis.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing was held on 31 July 2019 at CEAT Conference Room with the presence of BPIT Inc. General Manager Arnel M. Bautista, CEAT AA President Pantaleon LL. Tabanao and some Board Members, and UPLB-CEAT Dean Arnold R. Elepaño.
Aforementioned in the agreement is the annual financial support that will be given by the company to CEAT amounting to PhP150,000.00 starting AY 2019-2020 until AY 2021-2022 (three years).
The grant is intended to assist three (3) undergraduating students of the College who need financial support in accomplishing their thesis studies, considering that students must have good scholastic standing during the period of the grant. They may also use the facilities and equipment of BPIT Inc. during the conduct which are subject to availability. Also written is the agreement that after graduation, the grantee will be hired by the donor to work as its employee for a period of one year.
The donations will be part of the Student Financial Assistance Program of UPLB CEAT AA which intends to help students-in-need within the college.
